We are really proud to welcome the two world famous Egyptian star guests: the legendary AIDA NOUR and the young talent MOHAMED KAZAFY! Aida Nour: One of he world most sought tutor. Originally from Alexandria, Egypt, Aida started her dance career as a young dancer in the Alexandria Troupe. She performed Egyptian Folkore dances and solos for many years with the troupe until moving to Cairo. There she became a member of the famous Reda Troupe. She began to perform as a solo dancer and gained huge success. Aida performed in many of Cairo's famous five-star hotels and nightclubs for many years and became a very loved and popular artist. Aida now gives guest performances and workshops throughout the world and designs costumes for performers. Aida sadly stopped to perform in Egypt but occasionally her audience can still see her perform when she travels to give a workshop somewhere in the world. Aida Nour is one of the three organizers (Aida Nour, Freiz Sayed and Mohamed Abou Shebika ) of the famous international oriental dance festival Nile Group (Cairo, Egypt). Aida’s style is feminine, strong and varied –classical and authentic, earthy and fine elements are typical, all these in an inimitable combination completed with the overwhelming personality of Aida.
Mohamed Kazafy: known as Egypt’s rising superstar, has been a member of the world famous Reda troupe of Egypt for 22 years, performing in dozens of countries worldwide. He is still one of their principal soloists. After initially training with the troupe's founder Mahmoud Reda & The legendary principle female dancer Farida Fahmy he went on to perform with the Reda Troupe in many countries worldwide. Mohamed Kazafy remains one of their principal soloists. Mohamed Kazafy is a regular teacher at the Nile Group Festival in Egypt and is in constant demand throughout the world for workshops and performances. In 2007 an incredible 1500 students attended his single workshop in Argentina. His style is determined by the elements of classical ballet. Kazafy prepares ethereal, fine yet passionate choreographies; his folklore style is a combination of authentic forcefulness and stage playfulness.
